The syllabus to the left is the most recent iteration, taken from the Professional and Amateur Dance Syllabus published by the IDTA, last amended in February 2010. All competitions prescribing the IDTA syllabus use this list of figures.

Unlike the ISTD syllabus, we have had to leave the Additional Figures to the end due to the fact that there is no indication at which level they are to be danced.
Alternative entries to Promenade Position: While IDTA syllabus does not specifically list alternative methods of achieving Promenade Position, the Precedes and Follows in Guy Howard's The Tango and Basic Principles do correspond to the examples shown here.
The Outside Swivel and Reverse Outside Swivel The IDTA syllabus lists three types of Outside Swivel: Outside Swivel to Right, Outside Swivel to Left, and the Reverse Outside Swivel. For the sake of clarity, we have combined these into the following two pages:
