Level: Gold (ISTD); (?) (IDTA) Timing: (SQQ) Rotation: (Body Turn Only) |
Notes
In our 1966 edition of The Revised Technique the Contra Check is listed only under the Waltz, indicating it was one of several figures deemed to be suitable to more than one dance. IDTA Syllabus: The Contra Check is listed under 'Additional Figures' in The Tango and Basic Principles by Guy Howard. It is not specified at which level it is to be danced. Exceptions: German dancers competing D-Class/C-Class syllabus standard under DTV rules must observe the following exceptions: a) Not Permitted are 23. Oversway and 28. Contra Check. The Contra Check is related to the Back Contra Check, which is not syllabus. |
