Title: Open Promenade in Line
Level: (-) (ISTD), (IDTA) Timing: (SQQS) Rotation: None. |
Notes
The Open Promenade in Line is not part of the ISTD or IDTA syllabi. It is listed in the Named Variations (Gold) of our 1955 and 1966 editions of The Revised Technique by Alex Moore, and was removed at some point before the 8th Edition of 1976. It remains the only Tango figure to have been excised from the ISTD syllabus. The Open Promenade in Line is identical to the Open Promenade, except that the last step is taken in line with Lady rather than in CBMP Outside Partner. Citation The Open Promenade in Line appears twice In the 2nd Edition of Alex Moore's Popular Variations – Tango Variation Nos. #17 and #18 – and once in the 3rd Edition (Tango Variation #17). |
