Notes
The Tango Backward Walk
Both the Ballroom Technique by Alex Moore and Guy Howard's The Tango and Basic Principles devote pages to the characteristics of the Tango Walk.

In terms of choreography, the Tango Walk seems to be primarily a forward marching figure (backward for the Lady). The Backward Walk is mentioned
only peripherally in both Techniques for sharing the sharp staccato movements of its forward-going cousin. In the Precedes and Follows for
their Tango figures, Moore and Howard both ambiguously write "Walk on LF"
or "Walk on RF," allowing for a variety of interpretations. Further complicating the matter is the single mention of the Walk Back on LF as a possible entry for the Rock Back on RF in the Ballroom Technique.

As the Backwards Walk can create some striking visual combinations when used creatively, we suggest Syllabus dancers consult their instructors or tournament adjudicators before using them in a competition setting.
