Title: Open Finish to PP
Level: Pre-Bronze (ISTD); (-)(IDTA)
Timing: (&)
Rotation: None

Notes
The Open Finish is less of figure than an alternative suffix to the many
Tango figures that end in Closed Position. Rather than closing the feet,
"the last step of a figure is taken in CBMP Outside Partner," as explained
by Guy Howard in The Tango and Basic Principles. The Open Finish has
three possible exits: Forwards, Backwards and to Promenade Position.

Open Finish - Exit Man's LF Forward
Both the Ballroom Technique and The Tango and Basic Principles agree
that almost all figures beginning with the Man's LF forward may be
danced following an Open Finish. The exception on both lists is the
Contra Check, likely because the two are an ungainly combination.

Open Finish - Exit Man's LF Backward
Both Techniques state that an Open Finish may be followed by
Back Corté, LF Rock, or Outside Swivel (Methods 1&2).

Open Finish to PP
The ISTD syllabus allows the Open Finish to end in Promenade Position:
Man places LF to side without weight turning Lady to PP, counting (&).
