Title: Four Step Change
Level: Silver (ISTD); Gold (IDTA) Timing: (QQ&S) or (QQQQ) Rotation: 1/4 to Left. |
Notes
In our 1966 edition of The Revised Technique, the Four Step Change is featured as a Named Variation (Gold). In the figure's notes, Alex Moore recommends that it be "used anytime instead of a Brush Tap," and should employed on the floor "in the same way as a Change of Direction in Foxtrot." |

Notes
There is one Four Step Change in this video: 1. Occurs at 0:40 Entry Figure: 2 Walks Exit Figure: Progressive Link Please note that this extreme example of the Four Step Change deviates from the Ballroom Technique in two ways: a) The Man crosses his feet between steps 2 and 3; and b) The Man strongly overturns his top line to the left. Syllabus competitors should be wary that this styling of the Four Step Change can be confused with the Back Contra Check (not Syllabus). |
