Title: Turning Lock to Right
Level: Gold (ISTD), (IDTA) Timing: (1&23) Rotation: Up to ⅜ IDTA only: Turning Lock to Right Overturned to end in Closed Hold. |
Notes
In our 1966 edition of The Revised Technique by Alex Moore, the Turning Lock to Right is absent; only its cousin the Turning Lock is listed. However, the Turning Lock to Right (or Overturned Turning Lock) is featured in Alex Moore's Popular Variations (see Waltz Variation #46 and #48). We surmise that the popularity of this new variation meant it eventually earned a place in the Ballroom Technique. IDTA: The IDTA syllabus includes a footnote stating: "This figure may be overturned to end in Closed Hold." |
