Notes
The Closed Impetus can be used in place of any Heel Pull for the man, including 
after 1-3  Natural Turn, 1-5  Natural Twist Turn, 1-6 Reverse Wave, and steps 
1-12 of the Extended Reverse Wave (IDTA only). After a Curved Feather, the first 
step of the Closed Impetus will be taken Outside Partner.

A note on Syllabus Amalgamations
In the ISTD syllabus, the Closed Impetus is listed in together with the 
Feather Finish. This is because the Ballroom Technique lists the Feather Finish 
is the only permissible ending. However, the IDTA also lists the Reverse Pivot 
as a possible exit figure. Since our aim is to break each amalgamation into its 
smallest usable parts, we have listed the Closed Impetus individually.
