Title: Curved Feather
Level: Gold (ISTD), (IDTA) Timing: (SQQ) Rotation: Up to ¼ to Right Title: Curved Feather from PP Level: Gold (ISTD), (IDTA) Timing: (SQQ) Rotation: Up to ¼ to Right |
Notes
The Curved Feather and Curved Feather from PP are part of the Feather Step family outlined by Alex Moore in the Ballroom Technique. It is defined as a Feather Step that rotates up to ¼ to the Right and ends with Man ready to step LF back (Lady RF forward Outside Partner). A note on Syllabus Amalgamations In both the ISTD and the IDTA syllabi, the Curved Feather is listed in conjunction with the Back Feather, which makes the latter appear to be the only permissible exit figure. In reality, both a Closed Impetus and Open Impetus may follow the Curved Feather in both the ISTD and IDTA syllabi. Since we are an atlas of ballroom steps, we aim to break each amalgamation into its smallest usable parts. |
