Title: Top Spin
Level: Silver (ISTD), (IDTA) Timing: (QQQQ) Rotation: Up to ½ to Left Title: Checked Top Spin Level: Silver (ISTD), (IDTA) Timing: (QQQQ) Rotation: Up to ½ to Left |
Notes
The Top Spin may be danced after any Checked Feather Figure and any figure that includes a Feather Finish – including the Top Spin itself. ISTD Amalgamations The Ballroom Technique suggest two alternative combinations as entries for the Top Spin: 1. An underturned Closed Impetus and Checked Feather Finish ended facing Diagonal Wall against Line of Dance. 2. An underturned Outside Swivel and Checked Feather Ending, danced to end facing Diagonal Wall against Line of Dance. In each case, the Top Spin would turned 1/2 to end facing Diagonal Wall. IDTA Note: The Foxtrot and Basic Principles allows for the possibility of overturning the Top Spin: "Begin facing Diagonal Center and turn 3/4 to Left to end facing Diagonal Wall." |
