Title: Open Impetus
Level: Silver (ISTD), (IDTA) Timing: (SQQ) Rotation: Up to ⅜ to Right |
Notes
The Open Impetus can be used any time there is a Heel Pull for the man, including after 1-3 Natural Turn, 1-5 Natural Twist Turn, 1-6 Reverse Wave, and 1-12 Extended Reverse Wave (IDTA only). After a Curved Feather, the first step of the Open Impetus will be taken Outside Partner. A note on Syllabus Amalgamations In the IDTA syllabus, the Open Impetus is listed in conjunction with the Weave from PP. This makes these two exit figures appear to be the only ones permissible. In reality, any Promenade Figure may follow the Open Impetus. Since our aim is to break each amalgamation into its smallest usable parts, we have listed the Open Impetus individually. |

Notes
-9C shows Open Telemark – Passing Natural Turn – Open Impetus. This combination is only permitted in the IDTA syllabus. If instead of the Passing Natural Turn, a Curved Feather from PP were danced, then this would also be legal in the ISTD. |
