Notes
The Quick Open Reverse Turn was originally featured in the Quickstep syllabus and has been adapted for use in the Foxtrot. It should be noted that as in the Quickstep, the Quick Open Reverse begins with the Man's LF forward, unlike the popular Waltz adaptation. It is composed of the following: 1-3 Quickstep Quick Open Reverse (SQ&) and a Feather Finish (QQQ) For non-syllabus choreographers, 1-3 Quick Open Reverse Turn is a useful module for combining with reverse turning figures such as the Reverse Pivot. The Checked Quick Open Reverse As with the Weave Figures, the Quick Open Reverse includes a Feather Finish. This Feather Finish may be checked to follow with Top Spin or Outside Swivel. Citations There is one reference to the Foxtrot Quick Open Reverse in Alex Moore's Popular Variations (Foxtrot Variation No. #39). |
