Closed Impetus Quickstep
IDTA: Closed Impetus Turn

Picture
What is this?
Title: Closed Impetus
Level: Bronze (ISTD); (?)(IDTA)
Timing: (SSS)
Rotation: Up to 5/8 to Right
Notes
The Closed Impetus is often seen as a cousin of the Natural Spin Turn –
its tight turning radius and the decelerating nature of the Man's heel turn make it a useful alternative. It was originally listed as the Impetus Turn in our historic editions of Alex Moore's Revised Technique.

IDTA Syllabus: The Closed Impetus is listed under 'Additional Figures' in
The Quickstep and Basic Principles by Guy Howard. It is not specified at
which level it is to be danced.
