Double Reverse Spin Quickstep

Picture
What is this?
Title: Double Reverse Spin
Level: Bronze (ISTD); Gold (IDTA)
Timing: (SSQQ)(S) or (SQ&Q)
            (See notes)
Rotation: 3/4 to 1 Turn to Left
Notes
The Double Reverse Spin is listed as Bronze in the ISTD syllabus and Gold
in the IDTA syllabus. Our explanation for this disparity is that the ISTD requires some difficult step patterns to be learned earlier, while the IDTA ranks the figures in ascending difficulty. From the earliest editions Alex Moore's Revised Technique onwards, the Double Reverse Spin is listed in the Associate Syllabus (Bronze), indicating that it was viewed as a core Quickstep figure from the very beginning.

IDTA Timing
The Quickstep and Basic Principles lists the alternate timing of SQ&Q.
Competitors bound to the ISTD syllabus may not use this timing.

Bridge Step
The Ballroom Technique lists the following exit combination:
Man's LF Forward Bridge Step into a Tipsy to Right (Turned L).
