Level: (-)(ISTD); Silver (IDTA)
Timing: (SQQ) or (QQS)(See notes)
Rotation: Between ¼ and ½ to Right
Notes
The Running Finish is the common terminology for Steps 4-6 of an
Open Natural Turn. It originally became part of the ISTD syllabus as a part of the amalgamations Zig-Zag, Back Lock and Running Finish and the
Natural Turn, Back Lock and Running Finish. The latter was split into two listed figures: the Natural Turn and Back Lock, and the Running Finish.

Timing
Both technique books offer two timings: SQQ or QQS.

The Checked Running Finish
The Ballroom Technique notes that the Running Finish may be
checked on the 4th Step (S)(Man's RF OP). The Man continues
back on LF (S)(Lady RF fwd OP), into a Four Quick Run, a V6, or a
Six Quick Run.

Bridge Step
The Ballroom Technique permits a Bridge Step (Man's RF Forwards OP)

to be taken into the following exit combinations:
-Quick Open Reverse
-Tipsy to Left

The Running Finish to PP
The Quickstep and Basic Principles permits this figure to be ended in
Promenade Position. Possible exit figures are: Passing Natural Turn,
Tipple Chassé to Left, or Tipsy to Left. There are no Promenade figures
in ISTD Quickstep.
