Level: Silver (ISTD); Gold (IDTA) Timing: (SQQQQS)(S) Rotation: Up to 1/4 to Right Title: Checked Fishtail Level: Silver (ISTD);(-)(IDTA) Timing: (SQQQQS)(SS) Rotation: Up to 1/4 to Right |
Notes
The Fishtail is in essence a check Outside Partner into a running Forward Lock. It is generally begun in one of two alignments: -Facing DC: 1/4 turn to Right is then made between the Check and the Lock. -Facing DW: No turn is made -- Check and Lock stay facing DW. The Checked Fishtail The Ballroom Technique notes that the Fishtail may be checked on the 7th Step (S)(Man's RF OP). The Man continues back on LF (S) (Lady RF fwd OP), into a Four Quick Run, a V6, or a Six Quick Run. Bridge Step (S) Both the Ballroom Technique and The Quickstep and Basic Principles make use of a Bridge Step into a Tipsy to Left (IDTA). |
